Add An Additional Safety Factor
Cabling and Bracing is a tree maintenance procedure that can be done to otherwise healthy trees that have a structural weakness.
This procedure can prolong the life of a tree and add an additional safety factor. Cabling is the installation of a support system high in the canopy of the tree going from one or more limbs to another to allow the tree some natural movement but to help prevent limb failure.
Bracing is the installation of threaded rods in the lower section of the tree to offer additional strength to the branch attachment area.
